Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

A delicious quick and easy shrimp and pasta dinner. This was really good, made it tonight with steamed broccoli and garlic bread. Yumm!

Ingredients:
350-400g fettuccine
250g medium shrimp, peeled
salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
1/4 cup unsalted butter+ 2 tbs
1 tbs olive oil
1 head garlic, minced
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp chili flakes
1/4 cup, grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup parmessan cheese, to garnish., optional
2 tbs chopped fresh spring onions or parsely

Procedure:
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside.

Melt 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet over medium high heat, add olive oil, garlic, chili flakes , dried basil and cook, stirring frequently until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Add shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until pink about 2 minutes,
Melt 2 tbs butter in the skillet. Stir in pasta and 1/4 cup of parmessan grated cheese. about 2 minutes. Stir in shrimp.

Serve immediately with grated parmessan cheese and garnished with chopped spring onions or any steamed vegetables.
